Heute gibt es eine Premiere in der Diskurswelt: es folgt ein Versanstaltungshinweis für Bamberg und Umgebung.

Olga und Christian stellen ihre Photographien aus und laden alle zur Vernissage am 06.11.2010 um 20 Uhr in die Scheinbar (Lichtspielkino) in Bamberg ein. Die Photos werden dort nicht nur an diesem einen Abend zu sehen sein sondern sechs Wochen lang ausgestellt.

I shot these photos yesterday at around five o’clock (except the last two). Please bear in mind that my fingers were almost freezing and I did not have a tripod, so the quality is only sub par. I hope you can enjoy looking at them anyway. Let’s dream of a white Christmas…

Garantierte Bekömmlichkeitsreife bald am Ende?

Das Oberlandesgericht Rheinland-Pfalz stellte neulich fest, dass Wein nicht mit dem Begriff bekömmlich beworben werden darf (mehr hier), da dies gesundheitsbezogen ist und gegen die Health Claims Verordnung verstößt.

Ich frage mich nun, ob das auch das Ende für die Garantierte Bekömmlichkeitsreife der Bamberger Brauerei Fässla bedeutet. Schade wär’s ja schon.

WIAI Mug

Last week, Chris and I gave a talk on studying at the ITT Dublin and living in Ireland. Our institute’s student union (Fachschaft) had organised an information evening for students who consider going abroad.
Afterwards all presentors received a small gift:

The official WIAI student union mug! WIAI is an acronym for Wirtschaftsinformatik und Angewandte Informatik (Information Systems and Applied Computer Science), the name of our school.

By the way: our deck of slides could make use of the rich collection of photos that I uploaded here.

Do you know where in the world you can find this building? No? Okay, I’ll tell you.

It’s the Glyptothek, a museum built in 19th century that houses Greek and Roman sculptures. You can find it among other art museums in Munich, the capital of Bavaria.
